"We are people, not mascots!"

Women from the American Indian Movement about to lead what is turning out to be a huge march to the Metrodome, to protest against the Washington R*dskins in their football game against the Minnesota Vikings (7 Nov. 2013).

I cut a watermelon in half, used a melon baller on the watermelon, and added fresh fruit (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) to half of the watermelon balls that were scooped out.  I cut off about an 1/8 of an inch on the bottom so that the bowl would be sturdy.  You can easily make a fun design on the top by cutting a “V” shape continuously.  And then fill the watermelon with the fresh fruit combination!  I used the rest of the watermelon for a smoothie.  This was a hit at a summer play date!
